About Me

I am a Senior Product Designer at Nykaa and I am from Bangalore, India. I have freshly joined the company taking ownership of Landing pages, Onboarding experiences and Ratings-Reviews at Nykaa Fashion. Previously I used work at AJIO.com and I wore multiple hats during my stint. Taking new initiatives, conducting user research, and owning responsibility for Post Order user experience in the design vertical. This involves understanding the problem in order tracking, return, exchange, customer care, and digital wallet.

Previously worked at Fractal Analytics- Experience team based in Mumbai & Bangalore, India. Fractal's experience team solves problems related to Business Analytics & Intelligence. This domain is drowning with the overload of data and significantly less meaningful insights for easy decision-making. As a debutant Information Designer who just graduated from college, I faced quite a lot of interesting challenges. I tried to understand and set up a process to tackle analytical problems through the HCI design process and principles of Information Design. A few of the notable projects I have worked on is building the design system for an enterprise company that is new to design and focuses on data visualization, research tools, and experience library. It also strives to develop a design thinking approach for every solution built through design evangelism, where the design system plays a significant role.
I have maintained a good balance of working with business clients of Fracctal with their analytical problems to building their design system. The learnings from working with a consultant company as a designer were enormous, especially when the domain is new to the design approach.

I had an opportunity to do an internship with Adobe. I worked on Adobe Illustrator to build a concept workflow for creating Information Visualisations by linking the visual properties with the data attributes through the principles of visual encoding. The workflows would allow users to develop vector-based visualizations in a few minutes while traditionally taking hours and days. It was a POC that was made for Adobe Illustrator.
At the end of the internship, I presented my concept pitch to Bernard Kerr, who is a Principal Designer at Adobe and had earlier built Project Lincoln and Data Illustrator, which were modern tools for Data Visualisation.

I have a Master's in Information Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), India. It is a specialized course with an intersection of Human-Computer Interaction Design, Statistics, Visual Design, Data Science, Design Research & Methodology, and Programming language. It is overall focusing on creating a seamless experience for problems that deal with data and humans. At NID, I have worked on different projects with Ethnographic Research, User Centre Design, Information Visualisation, and Graphic Design.

A few of my projects have grabbed recognition at the NASSCOM Design4India Design Awards in 2019, Top Talents in Adobe Achievements Awards 2019, and got longlisted in the Information is Beautiful Awards 2018.

I love looking at patterns around me and the world and drawing inferences in my daily life. I love to play with data and create some magic out of them while I sit with my pen, paper, and Mac. Love spending time reading news articles on design art, politics & current affairs, or anything which gives me a dopamine hit. I have an excellent visual memory, and I consider it a superpower that I use to the fullest to create products/solutions that generate an impact.

I am very passionate about data visualizations but do not want to restrict myself and keep exploring the different domains of designs and keen on learning new skills every now and then professionally and personally.

Feel free to ping me if you like to work together or have some interesting topics to discuss.
